"Let your 'Yes' mean 'Yes,' and your 'No' mean 'No.'" (Matthew 5:37)

Reflection:

Today, we focus on how Christ’s love changes the narrative we have about ourselves. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are reminded that Christ's love makes us a new creation. Our worth is not defined by the world or our past mistakes, but by Christ’s sacrifice and the love He offers. By embracing this new identity, we are freed from past limitations and the false stories we’ve told ourselves about our worth. Matthew 5:33-37 calls us to be true to ourselves and God, reinforcing that we must be honest and authentic in how we see ourselves and interact with others. Reflect on how you have measured your worth based on past experiences or others' opinions. How does viewing yourself through God’s love change your story?

Action/Practice:

  • Reflect on the stories you’ve told yourself about your worth. Have you let past experiences or others' opinions define you? Write about how Christ’s love invites you to reframe these stories and embrace the truth of your value in Him.

  • Pray today, asking God to help you see yourself through His eyes and to release any false stories that have shaped your self-worth.

Daily Goal:

  • Begin to reframe your sense of self-worth today by embracing the truth that you are a new creation in Christ. Let His love define your identity.

Journal Prompt:

"What false stories have I believed about my worth? How can I embrace Christ’s love and allow it to redefine who I am?"
