“They strengthened the souls of the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith, saying, ‘It is through many persecutions that we must enter the kingdom of God.’”
Responsorial Psalm:
Psalm 145:10-11, 12-13ab, 21

Gospel:
John 14:27-31a
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.”
Reflection:
In Acts 14, Paul and Barnabas face challenges and opposition in their ministry, but they persevere, showing the importance of patience and empathy in the face of difficulties. Patience is an essential virtue in relationships, especially when misunderstandings or differences arise. In the Gospel, Jesus offers His peace to His disciples, teaching us that patience and empathy allow us to create spaces for healing in relationships. Empathy allows us to understand others’ pain and respond with kindness, rather than frustration.
Action/Practice:
Today, practice patience by responding calmly in a situation where you might normally react with frustration. Offer empathy and listen attentively to someone who needs support.
Daily Goal:
Focus on being more patient and empathetic in your relationships, creating an environment where peace and understanding can grow.
Journaling Prompt:
“Where do I need to practice more patience in my relationships? How can I be more empathetic toward others in times of conflict?”
